Mark your calendars for March 23-25, 2012 when the HOME SHOW kicks off springtime home and garden fun at Bartle Hall. This Kansas City tradition for more than sixty years and together with the Flower, Lawn and Garden Show showcases the latest ideas, opportunities, and choices for homeowners to get a jump on spring home and garden projects.

During one action-packed weekend this extensive exhibit hall brims with new home products and services, decorating, design and building demonstrations, the latest remodeling ideas, and premier landscaping displays.

HOME SHOW to Feature HGTV Star Monica Pedersen

This year’s headline speaker is the vibrant and talented Monica Pedersen. Described by the NY Times as the “radiant, high-energy mistress of ceremonies” at the recent Kitchen & Bath Industry show, Monica will grace the Home Show stage on Saturday and Sunday, March 24 & 25 with her design ideas. She has much exposure including appearances on HGTV’s Designed to Sell, Bang for your Buck, Showdown and Dream Home.

Architect and Innovator Sarah Susanka Brings “Not So Big” Message

Thought leader, inspirational keynote speaker, and acclaimed architect Sara Susanka with her “Not So Big” message will be a featured speaker on the Home Show Stage, March 23, at Bartle Hall. Susanka has become a launch pad for a new dimension of understanding of how we inhabit our homes, our day-to-day lives, and even our planet. She is a nine time best-selling author of books including The Not So Big House, The Not So Big Life, and Not So Big Remodeling.

Beautiful Garden Cottage Built On-Site at Bartle Hall

A stellar team of HBA members is creating a beautiful Garden Cottage built primarily with Made in America materials. This house was designed by Wolfgang Trost, a local architect, and is being constructed with donations from McCray Lumber and Millwork. The interior is being designed by Julie Ransopher of Jules and Co. and photographs by Billy Pilgrim, Billy Pilgram Art will be on display. This cottage will be reconstructed after the show at the Drumm Center for Children, a residential facility for foster children.

Sports Radio 810 Joins Home Show Entertainment

Sports Radio 810 will keep March Madness going at the Home Show! Soren Petro will broadcast his show LIVE on Friday, March 23, 10 a.m.– 2 p.m. from the HBA Construction Zone.
